Steve Williford is a founding partner of GWLLP. His practice experience includes the representation of private equity funds, conduit and balance sheet lenders, borrowers, developers and institutional and non-institutional investors and operators in a broad range of real estate matters, including the purchase and sale of vacant land, office buildings, apartment buildings, hotels and resorts, shopping centers and other commercial and residential properties; construction, permanent, securitized, mezzanine and preferred equity financing; loan and equity restructurings and “workouts”; the purchase and sale of secured real estate loans; joint venture agreements; sale-leaseback transactions; and commercial leasing and subleasing.
Prior to founding GWLLP, Mr. Williford practiced at the Los Angeles based law firms of Latham & Watkins LLP and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP.
Mr. Williford received his law degree in 2002 from the UCLA School of Law. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999 from UCLA, magna cum laude. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Williford is admitted to practice law in the State of California.

STEVE WILLIFORD
Alvin Galstian is a founding partner of GWLLP. He brings significant expertise in commercial leasing, construction contracts, purchase and sale, hospitality, real estate development, and general real estate transactions. He also has considerable experience in corporate law, including private placements, joint ventures, and general corporate matters. Mr. Galstian often handles large, complex, and innovative real estate matters nationwide. He routinely advises a publicly traded food and beverage company on all its real estate holdings, and previously represented one of the world’s largest publicly traded gaming companies in high-profile resort-casino transactions, real estate developments, and other general corporate matters.
Mr. Galstian began his legal career at Glaser Weil practicing in the real estate and corporate law departments. He later followed his entrepreneurial spirit by starting his own law practice.
Mr. Galstian received his law degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 2000, where he was the Managing Editor of the International & Comparative Law Review. He received a B.A in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern California in 1996, where he was a member of the nationally ranked men’s water polo team all four years.
Mr. Galstian is admitted to practice law in the State of California. He is also a licensed real estate broker in the State of California.
